The city is the administrative center of the Tula region, located on the Central Russian upland on the banks of the Upa River and is included in the list of the 50 largest cities in Russia. The population is about 500 thousand people.

Tula is located 170 kilometers south of Moscow. Federal highways run through the city and in the immediate vicinity of it: Moscow-Crimea and Kaluga-Tula-Ryazan.

Tula State Museum of Weapons

The museum was founded at the Tula Arms Factory in 1724. It has the most valuable collections of firearms and bladed weapons of domestic and foreign production.

A historical monument of defense architecture of the XVI century. For several centuries it served as a defense of the southern borders of the Russian state.

Memorial complex "Defenders of the sky of the Fatherland"

The memorial complex is located at the entrance to the city of Tula from the Zarechye in the area of the Moskovsky highway and was erected to mark the 71st anniversary of the victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War.

The oldest Orthodox church in Tula, the only architectural monument of the XVII century in the city.

  1. Exhibition "Masterpieces of the Imperial Glass Factory of the XIX – early XX century from the collection of the Historical Museum"

    The exhibition presents 141 unique works of the Imperial Glass Factory from the collection of the Ceramics and Glass Department of the Historical Museum. These are glasses, cups, stacks, wine glasses, shot glasses, mugs, glasses, candlesticks, vases for various purposes, jugs, damask, compote bowl, bowl, creamers, plates and much more.

    The exhibition runs from November 4, 2023 to April 1, 2024.

    According to the Minister of Culture Tatyana Rybkina, the flagship program of this year will be a large exhibition at the Art Foundation, for which about 250 exhibits from 11 major federal museums have been selected. There are no analogues of such an exhibition in Russia.
